FOR ALL BEIJING AND SHANGHAI PUBLIC TOURS

Cancellations More Than 24 Hours Before Your Tour: Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to tour commencement are eligible for a full refund for the tour or may be exchanged for future travel credit (subject to availability and price changes). Refunds are for the tour ticket only, and do not include any add-ons that were purchased.

Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours Before Your Tour: Cancellations received within 24 hours of departure, late arrivals, and no-shows after a tour departs are not eligible for refunds for any reason (including transportation or illness). Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your tour begins will be charged a rescheduling fee of US$20 per ticket.

FOR ALL BEIJING AND SHANGHAI PRIVATE TOURS

Small Groups (10 guests or fewer): Cancellations made more than one week prior to tour commencement are eligible for a full refund for the tour or may be exchanged for future travel credit (subject to availability and price changes). Refunds are for the tour tickets only, and do not include any add-ons that were purchased. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your tour begins will be charged an rescheduling fee of US$20 per ticket.

Large Group (10+ Guests): All large group tours require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the full booking. Full payment is due one week before the tour. Cancellations made more than one week prior to tour commencement are eligible for a refund less the deposit for the tour or may be exchanged for future travel credit (subject to availability and price changes). Refunds are for the tour tickets only, and do not include any add-ons that were purchased. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your tour begins will be charged an rescheduling fee of US$20 per ticket.

SEVERE WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY

Our tours take place rain or shine. In the case a tour cancellation due to severe weather (ie: typhoon), UnTour will make every effort to reschedule your tour for another day if possible. If we are unable to do so then we will refund your booking in full. For Hong Kong Tours, please see the below HK-specific Severe Weather Cancellation Policy.

GIFT CARD CANCELLATION POLICY

Gift cards are non-refundable and non-returnable. Gift cards must be used by the expiration date. Refunds for tours purchased with gift cards will be given in credit with the original gift card’s expiration date.

HONG KONG CANCELLATION POLICY

UnTour Hong Kong’s Cancellation Policy: Tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. We are unable to cancel or reschedule your tour. However, if Foodie Tours are canceled due to inclement weather, we will be glad to reschedule your Foodie Tour based on availability or refund your ticket purchase in full.

Severe Weather in Hong Kong: Our tours will still be in operation under Amber Rainstorm Signal or Tropical Cyclone (Typhoon) Signals No. 1 or 3. Tours will only be cancelled when Red or Black Rainstorm Signals or Tropical Cyclone (Typhoon) Signals No. 8, 9 or 10 is hoisted. In case of inclement weather, please check the Hong Kong Observatory website or the TV for the latest weather information. In the case a tour cancellation due to Red or Black Rainstorm Signals or Tropical Cyclone (Typhoon) Signals No. 8, 9 or 10 , UnTour will make every effort to reschedule your tour for another day if possible. If we are unable to do so then we will refund your booking in full.

CHENGDU CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations More Than 48 Hours Before Your Tour: Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to tour commencement are eligible for a 50% refund for the tour or may be exchanged for future travel credit (subject to availability and price changes). Refunds are for the tour ticket only, and do not include any add-ons that were purchased.

Cancellations Less Than 48 Hours Before Your Tour: Cancellations received within 48 hours of departure, late arrivals, and no-shows after a tour departs are not eligible for refunds for any reason (including transportation or illness). Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your tour begins will be charged a rescheduling fee of US$20 per ticket.

As a participant in one of our UnTours it is your responsibility to assess your own level of health and fitness prior to booking with UnTour Food Tours. If in doubt, seek medical advice before booking your trip. UnTour Food Tours assumes no liability for participants’ health problems – including, but not limited to, pre-existing conditions and those that appear during an UnTour or as a result of participation in any activities involved with UnTour Food Tours. Every effort will be made to assist in the event of medical emergencies, however UnTour Food Tours accepts no responsibility for costs that arise from nor for any resulting negative effect to your health.

By making payment, participant certifies that he or she does not have any condition or disability that would create a hazard or hardship for himself or herself, as well as any other travelers participating in the program, and the participant understands that health care standards, facilities and services in China may be different or inadequate for treatment of certain health conditions. UnTour Food Tours makes no representations or warranties and disclaims any made regarding special accommodations or handicap accessibility on any program. UnTour Food Tours reserves the right to decline accepting or retaining any traveler whose health or actions, in UnTour Food Tours’ sole judgment, impede the operation of a trip or the welfare or enjoyment of fellow travelers.

UnTour Food Tours does not guarantee the availability of any special diet or the absence of potential food allergy triggers. While we do our best to accommodate vegetarians and food allergies, UnTour accepts no responsibility for any allergies and/or dietary requirements or restrictions of the participants.  It is the sole responsibility of the participant to take care of his or her own dietary needs.

UnTour Food Tours strongly recommends that you have appropriate health insurance in place before booking. We also strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your travel investment.

By booking with UnTour Food Tours, you release UnTour Food Tours and its officers, employees, agents, licensees, and other representatives from all cost, liability, loss or damage incurred or suffered by you directly or indirectly during the course of the tour and resulting from your personal injury, illness or death or damage to or loss of your property. You give up any claims against UnTour Food Tours and its employees and you agree not to make any claim against or seek compensation from UnTour Food Tours and its employees in respect to any personal injury, illness or death suffered by you or damage to or loss of property incurred by you as a consequence of your participation in the excursion.

UnTour Food Tours does not own or operate any of the facilities or suppliers of accommodations and services for your trip. UnTour Food Tours is not responsible for the foods or beverages consumed on its tours. UnTour acts solely as a consultant in arranging logistics, venue visits and other services and does not assume liability for accidents, delays, injuries, loss or damage due to any act or default of any company, organization or person engaged in transporting passengers, rendering service, or carrying out arrangements for any tour or by the act of default of any restaurant or shop or its employees.

Each individual tour participant agrees that UnTour Food Tours and its representatives shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to any act of default of hotel, transportation carrier, restaurant supplier or other contractor providing services to UnTour Food Tours and its participants.

UnTour Food Tours and its representatives shall not be responsible for any expense or liability due to civil unrest, labor disputes, war or threat of war, acts of terrorism, government restrictions, weather, theft, fire or illness, or any other cause beyond their control.

UnTour Food Tours and its representatives reserve the right to accept or refuse any person as a participant of an UnTour.

UnTour Food Tours and its representatives reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reason or to change itineraries and/or substitute services of equal or greater quality without prior notice.

You are responsible for adhering to the rules and laws of the localities while traveling with UnTour Food Tours or participating in activities arranged by UnTour Food Tours or any of its agents or partners. The rights and privacy of fellow UnTour participants must be respected while on tour. We reserve the right to disqualify you before or during any program if we judge your participation may compromise the safety or comfort of others.

By participating in any UnTour Food Tours activities, you affirm that you understand and agree to these Terms and Conditions and Waiver and Release of Liability.

Right to Distribute Media

You agree to grant UnTour an irrevocable royalty-free worldwide license to use photos and videos taken on its food tours in which you may appear. The Company has the right to reproduce, distribute, broadcast, exhibit, edit, digitize or in any other way use the this content by any means and in any form of media, whether existing now or created later, without restriction worldwide, by incorporating the content into its website, catalogs, books, brochures, magazines or any other publications, or any informational, commercial, promotional or advertising material. You agree that the company is and shall be the exclusive owner of all title, rights and interest in the content and its use, including copyright thereof.

Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in or relating to the website (including text, graphics, software, photographs and other images, videos, sound, trademarks and logos) are owned by UnTour or its licensors. Except where you are given a non-exclusive license to use the intellectual property rights that you need to enable you to use the website in accordance with these Terms of Use, you are not given any rights in respect of the intellectual property rights owned by UnTour or its licensors and you acknowledge and agree that you do not acquire any ownership of, or other rights in relation to, any such intellectual property rights by virtue of using the website.
